Holistic Dentistry

Holistic dentistry, also known as biological dentistry, takes into account a patient’s entire state of physical and emotional health as it relates to oral health. We know a beautiful, healthy smile is very important, but we also know that poor oral health can have a huge negative impact on the body. Toxins, bacteria, and unsafe dental materials can all get in the way of your child’s health.

The mouth acts as a window to what’s going on in the rest of the body. Many times ailments and diseases appear in the oral cavity first, so it’s important to be able to see these issues and treat them naturally before they grow and affect your overall health.

Because of this close link between the mouth and the rest of the body, we view every aspect of dental care as very important. From prevention of cavities to treatment options and materials, every recommendation we make is with the intent of putting our patients’ whole body first.

We consider various factors involved in health and wellness as we work with each patient. No two patients are the same, so no two treatment methods should be the same either. At One Loose Tooth, we look at every patient and their needs on an individual basis, treating each patient accordingly.

Biological/holistic dentistry involves more than just 6-month routine visits, and we do more than just repair teeth.

After a thorough review of each patients’ health background, our team really gets to know the patient and his or her family. We not only look at the possible direct causes of cavities such as sugary foods, but we also look at other aspects, including lifestyle, habits, medications, and other health conditions.

We strive to offer a different approach to dentistry with your child’s specific needs in mind. We understand nutrition is a huge part of healthy living and prevention of cavities, so we are proud to offer fluoride-free, organic supplements to help build your child’s bones and developing teeth.

Each tooth has its own blood supply at its center that communicates with the rest of the body. When the body has readily available nutrients and minerals (such as those provided by the supplements we offer), it can prevent and even reverse the beginning stages of a cavity!
